A man who was fatally stabbed in Halewood on Friday night has been named as Jordan Brophy.
The 31-year-old year old, from the St Helens area, died after being stabbed on Friday, October 29.
A second cordon was also put in place on nearby Pendleton Green.
Merseyside Police confirmed that he was taken to hospital in a serious condition and later died from his injuries.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.
People living near the scene were shocked by the incident, with one person who has lived in the area for more than 30 years saying it’s “very unusual” for anything to happen and it’s usually “very quiet”
Six people have been arrested in connection with his death.
A 26 year old man has been released on bail pending further enquiries. A 33 year old man has been released with no further action taken.
Four people remain in custody and police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
