No it’s quite normal, just more visible on pink noses. I always wipe away mine.
They just look like cat bogeys. Just dust or dirt that’s dried there. You can pick it off pretty easy. My cat gets them sometimes too.
Orange cats develop black spots on their noses, around their eyes and their gums. I learned this when my Ares started getting it on his gums and I freaked out. $265 vet bill later, I learned this was normal for orange cats lmfao.
The Infamous black boogers! I went through the the same thing the first time I saw then on my cat. Now, I frequently pick my cat’s nose. See, it’s not true, you CAN pick your friend’s nose.
It’s dirt and dried mucus. Don’t worry, just take your fingernail & gently scrape it out.
It’s nose oogies!
Yep. Very common. I use a soft muslin cloth and wet it and rub it off. Same for eye boogers too.
It just saves me lot of money to know this lol
Hold them like a baby and qtip them boogies.
It’s normal cat boogies! Mine gets them too
You could use sensitive baby wipes. Or they also sell wipes just for wiping babies snotty noses. But regular “sensitive” type wipes would be cheaper. Could also use for wiping around the ears and eyes.
He looks exactly like my Kaki!
Sometimes this can be more scab like in appearance, but still very similar, in which case it is a food allergy and you need to change their food. You will know this is the case if when you try to clean it bleeds. Some even have all sorts of seasonal allergies, but I’ve had cats that developed this dermatitis condition due to their food. When I changed it, they were fine. Some cats have a dirty looking chin, which is due to a stainless steel bowl, which when their chin knocks against it, causes this skin problem also…
No, it’s normal. My ginger kitty has lots of these.
OMG he is such a cute little potato!!!!
Nah leave it it’s common
My cats get this. It’s just snot. Wet a qtip with warm water and swipe. They come out easily.
That’s cat’s boogers 🤣🤣🤣
its just face gunk. Wet tissue or animal wet wipe should do the trick 🙂
I am posting this because I currently have a cat rescue I have run out of my home and I am struggling right now and am looking for help
They all have that. It’s either freckles or cat boogers. I can’t tell from the pic.
Mine has them to I just try and clean it without bothering the cat a lot of cats have it nothing really to worry about just a nice gentle wipe around the nose
Those are cat boogers.
It’s very common for ginger kitties to get dark colored “freckles” on the pink parts of their face, so don’t be too surprised if you cannot just “wipe it off”. My boy has freckled kitty lips. It’s adorable.
Ask a vet. Why would you trust strangers on the internet with literally zero qualifications
Orange cats often get black freckles on their noses over time.
That’s usually a sign of infection. My cat had this and then it got worse, turned into runny nose. It was his teeth and gums that were infected.
Mine too! Is it boogie or dried blood? I’m worried about my cat 🙁
