Definitely looks scared to me. You have to consider the entire animal to read its body language, not just the ears; if her eyes were half-closed, she could just be sleepy. But ears pulled back close to the body with her eyes wide as saucers most definitely looks like fear or panic. There doesnt have to be anything acutely “bad” going on for a bun to be afraid, they are prey animals afterall. Noises, smells, fast movements could all lead to alertness.
Ears are pulled back so I’m guessing alert looking for possible danger.
Eyes scream scared and she looks tense. My buns do this sometimes when there are unexpected noises in the house or on the street (even if I don’t notice them).
I think the big eyes mean scared
I think she is scared
This is definitely a “What in fresh hell, ” look.
I’ve caught my rabbit in this pose several times. To me she looks scared but information I’ve seen online says the ear position just means sleepy. As far as I’m aware there’s nothing for her to be scared about. Can I get confirmation either way?
my rabbit will do a hunch with ears back when she is upset or mad at us! but your bun looks scared or on edge about something, just give pats and a treat 🙂
